Ambey Medicine

Ambey Medicine is located right by Jawahar Gate. If you’ve ever spent time around Jawahar Gate, you know how the traffic can get. It’s a constant stream of bikes and cars passing by the front door. We’ve got a fairly simple setup here. The shop isn't anything fancy, just a counter and some sturdy wooden shelves that have seen better days. We spend a lot of time organizing things because in a place like this, you can lose track of items pretty quickly. The air is always full of the sounds of the street, which we’ve gotten used to over the years. We open the shutters early in the morning and stay until things quiet down at night. Usually, we are just moving stock from the back room to the front. It’s hard work and the lighting isn't the best, but it works for us. We don't go in for big promotions or loud colors on the walls. It’s just white paint and functional lighting. People stop by on their way through the gate, usually in a hurry. We try to find what they need as fast as possible so they can get back to their day. It’s an honest living. We keep a ledger for everything and try to stay on top of the paperwork. Some days the heat is a bit much, but we have a small fan that keeps the air moving behind the counter. Jawahar Gate is a big landmark here, and being right next to it makes us feel like part of the history.
