We are over at Biyani Square in Amravati. The full name is Adrl Structural Designers And Consulting Engineers LLP, but most people just call us Adrl. We're on Laddha Plot, which is a fairly active part of town. Most of what we do involves looking at blueprints and figuring out how buildings stay up. We aren't architects who focus on making things look pretty; we're the ones making sure the structures are solid and safe. Our team is small and we’ve been at this for a long time now. Amravati has a lot of new construction going on these days, so there's always something new for us to look at. We don't have a polished corporate office. It's mostly filled with rolls of drawings, old calculators, and a few computers. We like it that way because it feels like a real workshop. We don't really do the whole "mission statement" or "vision" thing. We just get hired to consult on designs and we do the job as best as we can. Sometimes we’re out on construction sites getting our shoes dusty, and other times we’re just here in the office. It's honest, technical work. We just keep doing our structural work and trying to stay organized. It's not glamorous, but it is necessary work for the city.
