Khan Traders

Khan Traders is based out of Jadavbati village. It’s a small place near Sandhipur in the Garbeta area of Paschim Midnapur. We aren't easy to find if you aren't from around here, but the locals know where we are. We mostly handle building materials and general trade stuff that farmers and builders need. The roads can be a bit rough during the rainy season, so getting trucks in and out takes some patience. We started this as a family thing and it just stayed that way. My cousins and I usually handle the loading and unloading ourselves. It’s dusty work and by the end of the day, we’re usually pretty tired. We don’t have a website or anything like that, just a phone and our reputation in the village. People come to us when they are building a new shed or fixing a roof. We try to keep a decent stock of things so nobody has to wait too long. It’s a lot of manual labor, moving sacks and counting inventory under the shed. The sun gets hot in Midnapur, so we take a long break in the afternoon when it’s too warm to move much. Then we get back to it until the evening. It’s just how we do things here in Jadavbati. Nothing fancy, just honest work and trying to help the local folks get their supplies.
