Our office is in Gauriganj at house number 8. We are positioned right in front of the Jagdishpur Road, so there is always a lot of activity outside our front door. Whether you call it Amethi or Sultanpur, this is where we have been for some time. We are a small Nidhi company that focuses on helping the local people with their savings and contributions. The office is very basic. We have some plastic chairs for visitors and a wooden desk where we keep all our stamps and registers. It is not the most modern place you will ever see, but it works for us. The traffic on Jagdishpur Road can be quite noisy during the day, so we often have to speak up a bit when we are talking to people. We do not have any big corporate goals; we just want to be a place where you can come in and talk. Most of our members are people we see at the market or the tea stall. We keep our rules simple and our talk even simpler. There is no need for big speeches or complicated plans here. We just take the deposits, write them down, and give people their receipts. It is a honest day's work for us. We are just local folks trying to keep a small business running for the benefit of the neighborhood and our families.
