Radiant College

We’ve been running Radiant College here in Jalalpur for quite a while now. Most people know where we are in Ambedkarnagar. The building is just a regular place where students come to get their work done and pass their exams. It’s not a fancy setup, but we have rooms that stay relatively cool in the summer and enough chairs for everyone who shows up. My desk is usually covered in papers because there is always something to sign or a form that someone needs for their records. We see kids from all around this part of Uttar Pradesh. Some of them travel a good distance every morning to get here before the first bell. We don’t have a giant staff, just a group of us who show up every day to make sure classes happen on time. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just open the windows and keep going. It’s a busy place, especially during admissions or when results are posted on the board outside. You will see parents waiting in the hall to talk about how their children are doing or just checking on the fees. We try to keep the place tidy, though with so many students coming in and out of the gates, there is always a bit of dust. It feels like a small community really. Everyone knows each other’s names after a few weeks. We just focus on getting through the syllabus and making sure the students have what they need for their tests.
