Madhesiya Iron Store

We are located in the Village & Post Office of Baskhari, in Taluka Alapur. It’s part of the Ambedkar Nagar district. Our shop, Madhesiya Iron Store, is near the highway and also quite close to the Head Post Office. Being near the highway is good because it’s easy for deliveries to reach us, though the trucks make a lot of noise. The village vibe is still there even with the big road so close by. We have a lot of iron rods and sheets stacked up in the yard. It’s heavy stuff, so there is always a bit of clanging and banging going on. People from the village stop by to talk or ask about prices for their home repairs. The post office is just a short walk away, so we see the postman every day. We don't have a lot of fancy furniture, just some wooden benches and a heavy desk. The dust from the highway settles on everything, so we are always cleaning off the iron so it stays good. It’s a simple life out here in Baskhari. We open early in the morning when the air is still cool. Most of the work is done by hand or with simple tools. It’s just a local iron store serving the people around the Ambedkar Nagar area. We know most of our customers by their names and we see them regularly around the village streets near the main road.
