Sai Praveen Enterprises

At Sai Praveen Enterprises, we spend our days making wax candles. We are located at SRT-422 in Sanathnagar, which is part of the Ameerpet area in Telangana. The workspace always smells like melted wax, which isn't a bad thing once you get used to it. We have big vats where the wax is heated up and many molds lined up on the tables. It’s a manual process, so our hands are usually a bit sticky by the end of the shift. The building is an old one, typical for this part of the city. We have a small storage room in the back where we keep the finished candles in boxes. The pin code here is 500018, and it’s a very crowded neighborhood with lots of narrow lanes. Moving the supplies in and out can be a bit of a challenge because the trucks can’t always get close to the door. We usually have to carry the bags of raw wax ourselves. We don’t have a big marketing team or fancy packaging. Most of our work is done by hand and we focus on just getting the wick straight and the wax poured right. It’s honest work that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes the heat from the melting pots makes it tough during the summer months. We just open all the windows and keep going until the day’s quota is finished.
