We have been over here in the K-6 block of the Additional Industrial Area for a while now. It gets pretty loud with the machines running all day, but that is just how things go in Ambernath East. Most of us have been coming to this same spot in the MIDC zone for years. The building isn't much to look at from the outside, just some concrete and the usual dust you get around here. Inside, there is usually yarn everywhere and someone is always trying to fix a machine that decided to act up. It is a lot of work keeping up with the knitting schedules. Sometimes the power goes out or the delivery trucks get stuck in traffic near the main gate, which slows everything down. We just keep at it though. There is a small tea stall just down the road where we grab a break when things get too hectic. The floors are usually covered in lint by the end of the shift. We are not trying to do anything fancy, just getting the orders out and making sure the counts are right. It is mostly just us trying to stay busy and making sure the knitting looks okay before it leaves the gate. Most of the people working here live nearby so we all know each other. It is a regular factory life, nothing more and nothing less. We deal with the heat in the summer and the rain leaks in the monsoon, but we have gotten used to it.
