Vishwakarm Iron Store

The store is right here in Village Siriya Tiharpur, not too far from the Bhatia Petrol Pump. If you’re driving through Taluka Jahangirganj in Ambedkar Nagar, you’ll probably see us. We’ve got piles of iron rods and sheets stacked up inside and outside. It’s a bit of a dusty place, but that’s what happens when you’re moving metal around all day. We mostly deal with the local farmers and builders who need stuff for their houses or tools. The sun hits the metal in the afternoon and makes the whole shop quite warm. We usually have a radio playing somewhere in the back to pass the time. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you’ll see the same faces every day. We don’t have a big office or anything, just a desk with a ledger where we write down what’s sold. Sometimes people stop by just to chat because the petrol pump is so close and they’re waiting for their tanks to fill. We’ve been in this village for a long time now. The iron is heavy, so we’ve all got some muscles from lifting it. It’s hard work, but it’s honest. We close up when it gets dark and head home. The village is quiet then, but during the day, it’s all about the clanging of iron and the sound of trucks passing by on the main road. We don't have a website or anything, just this physical shop.
