Family Bazar

Family Bazar is our little shop located in Pulpur, Azamghad, right near the old cold store. That cold store has been there forever, so it’s the best way to explain where we are to anyone who isn't from right around the corner. We aren't a massive store with bright lights and fancy displays; we’re just a local place where we keep the shelves filled with what the neighborhood needs. My family and a couple of helpers run the place, and we’re usually here from the time the sun comes up until well into the evening. The shop can get a bit crowded when the delivery trucks arrive and we have to stack boxes in the aisles while we find a place for everything. It’s a bit of a juggle sometimes, but we’ve managed it for years. The floor is a little uneven in places and the walls have some marks from moving crates around, but it feels like home to us. You’ll often see people from the village stopping by not just to buy things but to have a quick chat about the weather or local news. We don’t have any complicated systems, just a notebook and a till. It’s a simple way to live and work. We appreciate the people who come in and we try to make sure they find what they’re looking for among the stacks. It’s just a regular daily grind for us here in Pulpur.
