Adarsh Higher Secondary School, Rajnagar

Our school, Adarsh Higher Secondary School, is located in the Rajnagar area of Dholka, on Chiyada Road. Since Dholka is a bit further out from the main city of Ahmedabad, life feels a little slower here. The school sits on a road that has a fair amount of local traffic, including tractors and small transport vehicles. The building itself is quite plain and does not have any modern glass or steel. It is just a brick building that has seen many groups of students pass through its doors over the years. Many of our teachers have worked here for a long time and they know most of the families living in Rajnagar. Every morning, you can see the students walking or cycling along Chiyada Road to get to the main gate. Inside, we have the basic things needed for a school like benches, blackboards, and old cupboards for the books. Because of the road nearby, things can get a bit dusty, so the floors have to be swept every single morning. We don’t have any big slogans or mission statements painted on the walls. It is just a place where we try to get the kids through their lessons. Life in Dholka moves at its own pace, and we just follow the usual school calendar. When the final bell rings, everyone heads home and the building goes quiet until the next morning.
