We are located at 6268/43 on Nicholson Road. This is where THE AMBALA SCIENTIFIC INSTRUMENTS MANUFACTURERS' ASSOCIATION operates from. It is an old building in a part of Ambala that has been known for this kind of work for a very long time. The office isn't very large. It’s filled with files, some old ledgers, and a few chairs for when members drop by to talk. We spend a lot of time discussing what's going on in the local trade. Nicholson Road is always busy with people and carts moving goods. You can hear the traffic outside all day long. We don't have a big staff. It's just a couple of us keeping the records and helping out where we can. It’s more of a community spot than a corporate office. People come in to ask about regulations or just to share news about their own workshops. We have some old photos on the wall from when the association first started. The paint is peeling a bit in the corners, but nobody really minds. We keep the tea kettle going for visitors. It is a simple place for people who make scientific tools. We aren't doing anything flashy. We just keep the doors open and try to be useful to the folks around here who are doing the real manufacturing. That’s been our way for as long as anyone can remember.
