Wings Hospital

Wings Hospital is right across from the market in Section 25. It’s a nursing home site, so we have a mix of long-term residents and people just coming in for a quick visit. Being opposite the market means it’s never really quiet around here. There is always the sound of trucks unloading or people bargaining for vegetables. We have a small yard in the back where some of the patients like to sit when the weather is decent. The building itself is a bit older, with those heavy doors and tiled floors that have seen a lot of use. We don't have a big lobby with a waterfall or anything like that. It’s just a plain desk and some rows of chairs. The nurses are the ones who really keep the place going. They know everyone’s name and how they like their tea. We have a few doctors who have their offices on the second floor. It can be a bit of a climb because the elevator is quite small and slow. Most of us just use the stairs instead of waiting. We deal with all the usual things a local nursing home and hospital handles. There’s no big mystery to it. We show up, we do the rounds, we check the charts, and we talk to the families. It’s a busy, sometimes messy, but very real place. We are just a part of the daily life here in Section 25 and we like it that way.
