Our place is out here at 438 in the Industrial Growth Centre. Being in the HSIIDC area in Saha means we are surrounded by a lot of other factories and big warehouses. It’s a bit of a drive for some of us, but the space is good for what we do. We focus on medical instruments, so the floor is always organized in a way that makes sense for the assembly lines. It isn’t always quiet, there is usually some humming from the equipment or the sound of boxes being moved around. We’ve been set up here for some time, and the staff is mostly local people from the district who have been with us through different seasons. It’s an industrial life, really. We spend our mornings checking the inventory and making sure the machines are running okay. Lunch breaks are usually spent together in the small break area. It’s not a glamorous setup, just a functional one where we get the work done. The weather out here in Saha can get quite hot in the summers, which makes the afternoons a bit slow, but we keep moving. Shipping out the orders is the main thing we worry about by the end of the day. There are always trucks coming and going from the growth centre, so it feels like a very busy hub even if we are just focused on our own little unit. We have got a good routine going here and it works.
