Vijay Exim House

Over at No. 26 C in Durga Nagar, we run Vijay Exim House. It’s a quiet enough spot compared to the main roads. We spend most of our time dealing with shipping papers and checking on boxes. Export and import work can be a headache sometimes with all the rules changing, but we have been doing this long enough to know the ropes. Our office isn't very big. We have a couple of desks and some filing cabinets that are probably too full. The neighbors in Durga Nagar are nice people. We mostly stay busy with the logistics side of things. It’s not the kind of work that looks exciting from the outside. A lot of it is just making phone calls and making sure the trucks arrive when they are supposed to. Sometimes things get delayed at the port, and then the phones won’t stop ringing all afternoon. We try to be honest with everyone we work with. If there is a problem, we just say it and try to find a way to fix it. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few of us who know how to get things moved from one place to another. It works for us. We’ve stayed in this same spot for years because it’s easy for the staff to get to and it feels like home. Nothing too complicated about how we run things here; we just take it one day at a time.
