The shop is narrow and deep, filled with stainless steel items that catch the light. It gets pretty loud inside when we’re moving the heavy metal containers around. We don’t have a lot of room for a waiting area, so people usually just stand by the counter while we look for what they need. The walls are lined with wooden shelves that have been there since the beginning. We know where everything is, even if it looks a bit cluttered to someone walking in for the first time. Sometimes we have to go into the back storage to find an older part that someone’s looking for to fix an old machine. It’s honest work. We deal with a lot of regular customers who have been coming to Sadar Thana Road for decades. They know us by name, and we know what kind of cattle they have. We just focus on getting the equipment ready and making sure the seals are tight. It’s a lot of manual checking. The tea guy comes by twice a day, which is the highlight.
