If you’re looking for us, we’re located at A-18 in Tribune Colony. It’s a nice, settled neighborhood and we’ve become a bit of a fixture here over the years. Our shop isn't huge, but we have enough room for all the frames and the testing equipment we need. Most days are spent helping people pick out glasses or fixing a pair that’s gotten bent out of shape. It’s a lot of fine work with small screws and lenses. We have a couple of mirrors on the walls so folks can see how they look. It’s usually pretty quiet, though we get a rush of people after school or when work lets out for the day. We know a lot of the families in Tribune Colony because they’ve been coming to us for their eye needs for a long time. There’s a small bench outside where people sometimes sit and wait if we’re busy inside. We don’t do a lot of fancy marketing; people usually just hear about us from their neighbors. The shop has a bit of an old-fashioned feel, which we like. We keep the place clean and the displays organized, but it’s not a high-end boutique. It’s just a local shop where you can get your eyes checked and find a decent pair of glasses without any trouble. It’s a good way to spend the day, helping people see a bit better.
