Theatre Resource Training And Education LLP is situated in Chhatrapati Colony, specifically at PL NO 11 in Shastri Nagar. Our space is filled with all sorts of things you’d expect for theatre work. There are scripts piled on the tables and maybe some old costumes or props in the corner. It’s not a polished studio; it’s more of a workshop where things get built and practiced. We spend our hours planning training sessions and figuring out how to teach different acting techniques. It gets quite loud sometimes when we’re running through lines or trying out a scene. The building itself is just a standard place in the colony. We have some basic lighting and a lot of floor space. We do a lot of the admin work on a couple of old laptops. It’s a lot of coordinating with different people and making sure we have enough materials for the sessions. We drink a lot of water and try to keep the place somewhat tidy, though it’s hard with so much going on. We don't have a receptionist; one of us just gets the door when someone knocks. It’s a hands-on kind of environment. We focus on the training side and getting people ready for the stage. We keep our schedules pinned to a corkboard on the wall. It’s simple and it works for us. We often find ourselves staying late into the evening because the creative work doesn't always follow a clock. It is a busy spot.
