The Popular Science Apperatus Workshops

We’ve been at 3724 for quite a while now. Being right opposite the Kali Bari Mandir makes it easy for people to find us, though the traffic gets a bit much during the festivals. Our workshop is usually full of glass tubes and metal parts. Some days it’s quiet, just the sound of a torch or someone packing a box. We make science apparatus. It’s not fancy work, but it’s what we know. The walls here have seen a lot of change over the years. We started small, just a couple of benches. Now there’s more equipment squeezed in, but the smell of the workshop stays the same. Most of the people working here have been around for a long time. They know how to handle the delicate stuff. It’s a lot of manual labor, honestly. Someone is always checking a measurement or fixing a tool that’s gone stiff. We don't have a big office or anything. It's mostly just the floor space where the real work happens. Sometimes the bells from the temple across the street ring while we’re in the middle of a job. It’s just part of the day. People drop by to ask about glass beakers or specific setups for labs. We show them what we have on the shelves. It’s straightforward. We keep the doors open when it's hot. It’s a busy spot, but we like the location and the people who come by.
