The Fort Ramgarh,

The Fort Ramgarh is an old place, as you can probably guess from the name. We are located right at The Fort, Ramgarh, just across from Sector 28 in Panchkula. It’s a heavy building with thick walls, so it stays cooler than the newer houses nearby. Working here feels different because you’re surrounded by so much history every day. There is always something that needs fixing or painting because old buildings take a lot of work to keep up. We have a lot of rooms and open spaces that we have to look after. It’s not like a modern hotel where everything is plastic and glass. Here, everything is stone and wood. We spend a lot of time walking from one end to the other just to check on things. Sometimes the garden needs extra care when the weather gets dry. We see a lot of people coming through for various reasons, and we just try to make sure they find what they need. The staff here is mostly local folks who have been around for years. We don't use a lot of fancy systems; we just talk to each other to get things done. It can be a bit quiet in the afternoons, which is nice. Then it picks up again in the evening. It’s a lot of responsibility to keep a place like this running, but we just take it day by day. It's a lot of stairs to climb, but you get used to it.
