Sunder Handloom

Our shop, Sunder Handloom, is located at No. 132 in Durga Nagar, right off Hissar Road. We are very close to the Jasper Kinder School, so we hear the kids playing and the school bells ringing throughout the day. It’s a nice, lively atmosphere to work in. The shop itself is filled with all sorts of handloom products. We have things stacked on shelves and some hanging from the walls. It is a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes. We spend a lot of time organizing the different colors and patterns. Durga Nagar is a friendly area and we have been at this spot for quite a bit. People often stop by while they are out running errands or picking up their children from the school. The floor is just plain tiles and we keep a few fans running to move the air around. It’s a very basic setup, nothing fancy at all. We just focus on keeping the inventory in order and being here when people need something. Hissar Road can get quite busy, but our little corner in Durga Nagar feels a bit more tucked away. We like the routine of opening up every morning and seeing the neighborhood wake up. There is always a bit of dust from the fabrics, but that is just part of the job. It’s a steady, quiet kind of business for us. We just keep our heads down and work on whatever needs sorting out.
