Sohan Saree Arts is located right in the middle of the Ambala Wholesale Complex. If you have ever been to NH1 near Kalka Chowk, you know how hectic it gets. We are at No. 113-114. It is a big complex, and sometimes it feels like a maze with all the different shops and people moving boxes around. We have been here for a long time. Every morning, we unlock the shutters and start sorting through the sarees. There is always a lot to do because the wholesale market never really stops. It is loud and there is always someone shouting or a truck backing up outside on the NH1. But we are used to it by now. The air smells like chai and new fabric most of the time. We don't have any fancy displays. We just stack the sarees and show them to whoever comes in. It is a simple way to run a business. We don't use computers for everything, a lot of it is still done with a pen and a notebook. Kalka Chowk is a landmark for most people coming from out of town. The Ambala Wholesale Complex is just the heart of it. We spend most of our days talking to customers and checking the stock. It is hard work and your back hurts at the end of the day from lifting bundles, but it is what we know. We aren't looking to expand into some giant empire or anything.
