You can find us right in the middle of Kacha Bazar at 1589. It is a loud place, always full of people moving around and trucks trying to squeeze through the narrow spots. We have been working out of this location for a long time. The building itself is older, and you can tell by the way the walls look, but it keeps the rain out and gives us a roof over our heads. We handle different kinds of instruments here. Most of our day is spent answering the phone or looking through catalogs to find what people are asking for. It gets dusty because of the market outside, so we are always wiping things down and cleaning the counters. There’s no big sign or flashing lights on our front door. You just walk in and someone will be there behind the counter to help out. We don't have a lot of space, so we have to stack things pretty high up on the wooden shelves. Sometimes we have to move three things just to get to one at the back. It keeps us moving, though. The neighborhood has changed a lot over the years, but Kacha Bazar still feels like the same old market at its heart. We close up when the sun starts to go down and the street gets a bit quieter. It’s a simple way of working. We don't try to make it more complicated than it needs to be.
