Prasanna Mahima Music School

Prasanna Mahima is a music school located in Sector 16 of Panchkula. It isn’t a huge place, just a few rooms where we keep the instruments and chairs. When you walk in, you can usually hear someone practicing a scale or trying to get a rhythm right on the drums. It’s not always the most harmonious sound, especially in the afternoons when we have a lot of beginners in at once. We don't have any of those fancy soundproof booths like they show on television, so you can pretty much hear what’s happening in the next room over. It’s okay though, because it makes the place feel alive. We have a lot of different people coming through the doors, some young kids and some older folks who just want a hobby. Most of the instruments have been around for a while, so they have a few scratches here and there, but they still sound fine. The floor is just regular tile and we try to keep the chairs lined up, though they always end up moved around by the end of the day. Being in Sector 16 is nice because it’s a settled area and people know where to find us. We don’t do much advertising; mostly people just hear about us from their neighbors or see the sign when they are driving past. It’s a simple setup for anyone who just wants to learn a few tunes without any pressure or complicated stuff.
