Being opposite the temple means there's always something going on outside, especially during the festival seasons when the crowds are big. Popular Science Apparatus Workshops Pvt. Ltd. is pretty much exactly what the name suggests. It’s a workshop where we deal with scientific instruments and various glass tools. There’s often a faint smell of metal or cleaning fluids in the air when you walk in. It’s a bit of an old-school setup. We have workbenches covered in tools and various bits of apparatus waiting to be checked or sent out to schools and labs. It’s not a sterile laboratory; it’s a place where things are actually handled and worked on by hand. We’ve got a small team, and everyone knows their way around the equipment. Sometimes the floor is a bit messy with packing shavings or small bits of wire, but we clean it all up at the end of every day. People come to us because they know we’ve been here for a very long time. We don't use any fancy apps or high-tech systems for everything—a lot of our record keeping is still done with pen and paper and a good memory. If you walk in, you’ll usually see us busy at the back or maybe discussing a measurement. It’s a real working shop. We don’t have a lobby with magazines or chairs. You just come in and tell us what gear you’re looking for and we see what we have.
