Nrd Power Supplies

Nrd Power Supplies is located over at Nace International. It’s where we spend most of our daylight hours dealing with batteries, backups, and everything else related to keeping the lights on. We aren't a big, polished outfit. Most of our space is taken up by crates and heavy equipment. We deal with power supplies because it’s a necessity, and we’ve gotten pretty good at knowing which ones will actually last. The vibe here is very much about getting the job done. We don't spend a lot of time on fancy decorations or making the office look like a magazine. It’s a working space, through and through. You’ll find us in our work clothes, probably moving things around or checking connections. We’ve been doing this for a bit now and we’ve seen all kinds of power issues come up. It’s a bit of a niche, but it’s important. We don’t try to sell people stuff they don’t need. If something can be fixed, we say so. If it’s junk, we’ll tell you that too. Being honest has always worked better for us than trying to be corporate. It’s just us and the gear, making sure things stay powered up. It can be a bit tiring when the big orders come in, but we get through it together. That’s just life at the shop. We keep our heads down and stay busy with whatever arrives that morning. It’s a lot of manual work but it keeps the day moving.
