Our place is located in Nathpuri Colony in Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh. The address is House Number 136 (A). Narendra Singh Gaur is the person who keeps everything running here. Fatehpur is a smaller district, so things definitely move at a slower pace than they do in the big cities like Delhi or Lucknow. We handle the local operations for the group from this house. It’s a typical residential neighborhood where all the neighbors know each other’s business. You won’t find any big corporate banners or neon signs hanging outside here. We just have a small, functional office set up inside the house. It's very convenient for the staff who live nearby and can just walk or cycle to work. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to local contractors and checking on various bits of field work. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow or the power cuts out, which makes things difficult, but we manage with our mobile phones and some patience. It’s a very local way of doing business, very informal. We drink a lot of tea and eat local snacks while we discuss the day's tasks in the front room.
