Micron Instrument Industries

Our place for Micron Instrument Industries is at 83 Gobind Nagar in Ambala Cantt. If you know the area, you know it’s a hub for this kind of work. The shop floor is always a bit cluttered with half-finished instruments and shipping crates. We’ve been here for a good while, and the walls show the age of the building. There’s a lot of manual work involved, so you’ll see people bent over benches with magnifying glasses or calibrating dials. It’s not a quiet place, but it isn’t deafening either—just a steady hum of activity. We have a lot of shelves stacked high with glass components and metal casings. Sometimes it feels like we’re running out of room, but we always find a spot for the next batch. The light comes in through some high windows that are a bit grimy, giving the whole place a soft, grey look. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. If someone walks in, they usually just talk to whoever is closest to the door. We drink a lot of chai throughout the day to keep going. It’s a simple setup, really. We focus on getting the measurements right and making sure the boxes are taped up securely for transport. It’s a local business through and through, and we like the routine of it all.
