Mehta Stationery

Mehta Stationery is a small place located at No 4 in Gobind Nagar. We are right by the B D Floor Mill. If you are looking for us, we are also quite close to the Negi Std booth. I started this shop because I wanted something of my own in the neighborhood. Every morning, I roll up the shutter and start by cleaning the dust off the notebooks. The smell of the flour mill nearby is something I have gotten used to over the years. It is a quiet part of town, mostly families living around here. The school children are my main customers. They come in for last-minute things like erasers or specific colored pens for their drawings. I keep a lot of basic stationery items packed into the small shelves. Sometimes it is hard to find something right away because space is tight, but I usually remember where I tucked it. I don't have a computer or anything to track sales, I just use a simple notebook to write everything down at the end of the day. My wife sometimes brings me lunch from our house which is just a few streets away. It is not a big business that is going to change the world, but it helps the local kids get their schoolwork done. I like chatting with the parents who stop by on their way back from the market. It feels like a community here.
