Brother Handloom

Brother Handloom is right here near the Sabzi Mandi at Manav Chowk in Ambala City. It’s a busy spot, especially in the mornings when all the vegetable sellers are setting up. Our shop isn't anything fancy to look at from the outside. Inside, it’s mostly just stacks of fabrics and handloom items everywhere. We’ve got bedsheets, curtains, and towels piled up on the shelves. Sometimes the piles get a bit messy when we’re busy showing things to people, but we try to keep it decent. My brother and I run the place mostly. We see a lot of local folks who just need something simple for their homes. The noise from the market outside is always there, rickshaws honking and people shouting about prices. We’ve gotten used to it over the years. We don’t do any big advertising or anything. People usually just walk in because they’re already at the mandi for their groceries. Handloom work is what we’ve always done. It’s honest work. Some days are slow and we just sit and drink tea, and other days we don’t even have time to eat lunch. We just try to keep enough stock so people have a few choices when they come in. The cotton stuff sells the most when it gets hot in Ambala. We just take it one day at a time and try to keep the shop running okay.
