You can find Malik Decorators at Plot No. 84 in Rai Market. We are situated right near Singla Confectioner, which is quite a popular landmark around here. Working in the decoration business means our schedule is never really the same from one week to the next. Some days we are loading up the truck with fabrics and lights, and other days we are just sitting in the shop trying to organize the inventory. Rai Market stays pretty crowded, so there is always something going on outside our door. We’ve been at this for some time now. It’s a lot of physical work, moving heavy sets and climbing ladders, but it keeps us busy. We don’t use any of those big words to describe what we do. We just take the materials we have and try to make things look decent for whatever event is happening. Sometimes we stay late when a big job is coming up, drinking coffee and making sure we didn't forget anything important. The shop is often full of samples and scraps of ribbon, but we know where everything is. It’s a local business through and through. We deal with people face to face and try to give them a fair shake. It’s just honest work in a busy market. We often have to move our delivery bike because it blocks the narrow path, but that’s just life in a crowded bazaar.
