V. D. N. Oil & Chemical Industries

Our business, V. D. N. Oil & Chemical Industries, is found at Plot No. 24 in the HSIIDC area, quite close to Swastik Marble. This is a purely industrial neighborhood, so we are surrounded by other factories and storage units. Our own place is filled with large drums, pipes, and containers of various liquids. There is always a smell of oil and chemicals in the air, but we have worked here so long that we hardly notice it anymore. We spend our days doing a lot of manual labor, like moving heavy barrels or checking the storage tanks. We wear our work boots and tough clothes because the floor is concrete and often a bit messy. The office is just a tiny space with a desk that is usually covered in papers and delivery notes. In the summer, the building gets quite hot because of the metal construction, but we just get on with it. We do not have a fancy entrance or a place for visitors to sit down. Most people who come here are drivers or other workers from the HSIIDC zone. We usually have a quick lunch and then get back to filling orders. We are not interested in making things look polished; we just want to make sure the work is done correctly. It is a practical, no-nonsense way to spend the day and we have a good routine going.
