Helpsetu Foundation

Helpsetu Foundation is based in Ambala City, right in Kailash Nagar. We are on the first floor of building 36 in Model Town. It’s a pretty central spot, so it’s easy for people to find us. We started this because we felt there was a gap between people who needed help and those who could give it. It’s like a bridge, which is why we picked the name. The office isn't anything special. We’ve got some old desks and a printer that jams more often than it should. We don't have a secretary or a marketing person. We just answer the door ourselves. Ambala can get really hot in the summer, and our old AC unit struggles a bit, but we manage. We spend a lot of time on the phone or walking around the neighborhood. It’s not a glamorous job, but it feels good to be useful. We don't have a grand mission statement written on the wall. We just have a list of things we need to do today. Sometimes we don’t get through the whole list, but we try again tomorrow. It’s just a small group of us trying to make the town a little better. We’re just regular people, really. You might see us grabbing tea at the corner shop when we need a break. We try to keep things honest and simple for everyone involved.
