About Eiya Foundation – Charity & Non Profit Organisations in Ambala
You have to look for Sudhir Nath Mishra’s place to find us. We are at Kh. No. 54, Khesra No. 436. It sounds complicated but it’s just near the Anganbadi Kendra in Choutha. Bushungarh is a quiet spot, and we are right in the middle of it. The Anganbadi is a good landmark because everyone knows where the kids go. We have a small office there. It’s mostly just a room with some benches and a big cupboard for our files. We spend our days dealing with local issues. People come in from the fields to talk to us. Sometimes they have trouble with their government IDs or need help with a local application. We sit with them and fill out the forms. It takes time because the paperwork is always confusing. The weather in Bushungarh can be tough, either too hot or too dusty. We have a big earthen pot for cold water which everyone shares. We don't have any fancy technology. Just a basic phone and some pens. We know everyone in Choutha by name. It’s a personal way of doing things. We aren't a big organization with lots of branches. It’s just us here, helping our neighbors out. We take things as they come. If someone needs help at ten at night, they just knock on the door. That’s just how it is here. We keep a lantern handy because the electricity can be a bit unreliable after the sun goes down in the evenings.
