Dhawan Orthopaedic Hospital

Jagadhri Road in Ambala Cantt is always busy, and we’re right in the middle of it. The hospital sees a lot of people with bandages and crutches every day. You can hear the sound of the traffic outside even through the windows. We’ve got a few different rooms for patients and the equipment is kept in the back. It’s a bit of a walk from the main gate to the reception desk. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we have a routine down. We start the day by checking the list of who is coming in for checkups. The waiting room has these old wooden benches that have seen better days. It’s a practical place, not meant for looking pretty. We deal with a lot of accidents because of where we are located in Ambala. There’s a tea stall just down the road where we get our morning snacks. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to switch over to the backup, which is always a bit of a hassle. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s about helping people walk again or fixing a broken arm. Nothing more, nothing less. Ambala gets very hot in the summer, so the coolers are always running. We try to keep the place organized, but with so many people coming in, it gets a bit messy by the afternoon.
