Autoronica

We have been set up at 403 Industrial Area Phase-Ii for quite a while now. The mornings usually start with the loud sound of metal shutters going up all along the street. It gets pretty noisy in this part of town by ten o'clock, with trucks moving in and out constantly. Inside Autoronica, things are pretty straightforward. We have a few rows of desks and some heavy shelves that have seen better days. The walls are a bit scuffed from moving crates around, but we don't mind much. It is just a place where we come to get the day's work done. We have a small corner where we keep the water cooler and a stack of plastic cups. Most of us have worked here long enough that we know exactly which floorboards creak when you walk over them. The light in the afternoon can be a bit harsh through the front windows, so we usually keep the blinds halfway down. It is not a fancy corporate office with glass partitions or soft carpets. It is an industrial unit where the air smells a bit like metal and old paper. Sometimes the power goes out for a few minutes and we all just sit there and wait for the backup to kick in. If you are looking for number 403, look for the gate that has the paint peeling a little at the bottom. That is us.
