Army Hospital

We’ve been here at the Army Hospital for quite a long time now. Most people just call it the Military Hospital because that’s what the sign says and where it is located. It isn't a fancy place with shiny glass walls or anything like that. It’s a busy spot. Every morning, the gates open early and the cars start coming in. The hallways are long and have that specific smell of cleaning supplies that you find in every medical building. We spend most of our time just keeping things moving. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit much, and the computers are slow, but we deal with it. It’s mostly about getting the job done. The staff here are locals and folks who have been around for years. We know the shortcuts around the building and which doors stick when it rains. It gets pretty loud during the day with all the boots on the floor. People come from all over to get seen. We don’t really have a big fancy lobby, just rows of chairs that have seen better days. But they work fine for waiting. The windows are large but they let in a lot of dust from the road outside. We just keep a rag handy. It’s a practical place for practical needs. You won't find any posters about visions here. Just people doing their work and trying to stay on schedule. It’s just how it is here.
