Micro Instruments Co. is located over at H.R.A. Parade Plot No-65/285 in Ambala Cantt. It’s a busy spot, mostly known for all the scientific work around here. My father started things up a long time ago, and we just kept it going. We handle a lot of small parts and precision tools. It’s not fancy, just a workshop where we get things done. Most days, the door is open and the machines are running. People stop by when they need something specific for their labs or schools. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. The address is easy to find if you know the parade area. We spend most of our time checking orders or fixing things that come back to us. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, but we manage. It’s a small team, maybe five of us on a good day. We don't really do big advertisements. Most folks find us by word of mouth or just seeing the sign outside. Being in Ambala Cantt means we are right in the middle of the tool-making hub. We’ve got stacks of catalogs on the desk and drawers full of brass fittings. It gets dusty in the summer, but that’s just how it is. We drink tea around four and talk about the orders for the next morning. It is simple work but it keeps us busy enough. We just focus on getting the measurements right for whoever calls us.
