Alvis Computer Education & Training Institute

We’ve been here at Alvis Computer Education & Training Institute for a while now, right on the first floor of Sco 5348 in Punjabi Mohalla. If you know where the Central Bank is, we are just right above them. It’s a busy spot but we like it here. We spend our days showing people how to use different software and getting them ready for whatever work they want to do next. It isn't a fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. It's just a place with computers where people come to learn. Sometimes the fans are a bit loud and we might run out of tea, but the teaching gets done. Most of the students live around here or take the bus in. We try to keep things simple because most people just want to know how the programs work so they can get a better job or help their kids with school stuff. It’s mostly just us sitting around the monitors, going through lessons one by one. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything, just a few of us who know our way around a PC. If you walk up the stairs past the bank, you’ll find us. We keep the doors open most of the day. It’s nice seeing someone finally figure out a tricky bit of code or how to format a spreadsheet properly. That’s pretty much what goes on here every day.
