Unicon Instruments

Our shop is at 2982, Cross Road No. 9. It’s a busy little street and we are right in the middle of it. At Unicon Instruments, we deal with all sorts of measuring tools and gadgets. The space we have is quite small, so we have to be careful where we put things. There are shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling filled with boxes and spare parts. Most days involve us sitting at the front desk waiting for people to drop by or working on repairs in the back. It’s a bit cluttered, but we know where everything is, mostly. The lighting isn't the best, so we use desk lamps to see the small parts we are working on. We get a lot of regulars who come in just to chat or ask for advice on an old piece of equipment they found. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements or shiny brochures. We just rely on people knowing that we are here on Cross Road No. 9 and that we know our way around an instrument. Sometimes the noise from the street makes it hard to hear, but you just raise your voice a bit and keep going. It’s a simple business, run by people who just like fixing things and making sure they work like they are supposed to. We keep our coffee mugs on our desks and just take the day as it comes.
