Shankar Building Materials

You can find Shankar Building Materials over at Shop No. 2 in the Jugnu Building. We are located in the Mahesh Nagar area, which has seen so much construction lately. My shop is usually covered in a bit of dust because of all the cement and sand we move around every day. It’s not a clean or polished place, but it’s a real working shop for local builders. People come to the Jugnu Building when they are starting a new project or just fixing up an old house. I’ve been running Shankar Building Materials for quite some time now, and I’ve seen the neighborhood change. I spend most of my day on the phone or talking to the truck drivers who bring in the supplies. It’s a lot of hard manual work, moving heavy bags and counting the inventory by hand. Mahesh Nagar is a busy neighborhood, so there is always some noise outside Shop No. 2. I don't have any fancy displays or a big showroom for people to walk through. It’s just a practical space where we store building materials. Sometimes the inventory gets a bit messy, but we always find what the customer needs eventually. I enjoy seeing the new houses go up in the area, knowing that some of the stuff came from my shop. It’s a tough business and my body often aches by the evening, but it’s an honest way to earn a living here. We don't try to be anything we aren't, just a local supplier.
