Mahesh Gaur & Co. is located at No. 166 in B.C. Bazar. Being in Ambala Cantt, we are right in the thick of the local market activity. The bazar is always crowded, and you can hear the sounds of the street from our front door. It’s a traditional kind of place. We’ve got old wooden desks and shelves filled with ledgers and documents that go back quite a bit. It is not the kind of office where you’ll find modern art on the walls. We prefer it this way. It feels solid and reliable. The morning starts with opening the shutters and letting some air in before the humidity sets in. Our neighbors are all shopkeepers and other local businesses, so there is a lot of shouting back and forth across the lane. We’ve known most of the people on this block for years. The work is steady and keeps us busy from morning till evening. Sometimes the fans overhead make a bit of a racket, but you get used to it. We don't use much fancy language here. If a job needs doing, we just get on with it. People come to us at B.C. Bazar because they know where to find us and they know we don't change much. Ambala is a town where reputation matters, and we just try to be the same people every day. It’s a simple life, focused on the tasks at hand.
