We are based at 128 in the H.S.I.D.C. Industrial Estate. It’s a large area with a lot of different factories and units around us. Our building is a standard industrial unit. We have plenty of room for our equipment and the laboratory supplies we handle. The ceilings are high and we have good natural light coming in from the upper windows. It’s a very practical setup. We have a small office section partitioned off from the main floor where we keep the computers and the phone. Most of the work happens out on the floor where we sort and pack things. It gets quite cold in the winter and very hot in the summer because of the way these units are built. We have a small room for breaks where we keep a microwave and some basic supplies. The roads in the estate can be a bit rough, especially after it rains, but the delivery trucks manage. We don't have a reception desk or a lobby. If someone comes to see us, they usually just walk straight into the work area. We’ve been here for a long time and we know most of our neighbors. It’s a quiet life in the industrial estate, focused on getting the orders right and making sure the stock is accounted for. We keep our own hours mostly, depending on how much work is on the table.
