Jainscientific Glass Works

We are based at 14, Ind. Estate. It’s a simple address for a simple operation. Being in the industrial estate means we are surrounded by other people making things, which suits us just fine. At Jainscientific Glass Works, our days are mostly spent around glass. It’s a material that requires a lot of focus and a steady hand, so the atmosphere inside is usually quite concentrated. We don’t have a big corporate sign or a fancy lobby. When you walk in, you mostly see the tools of the trade and the products we’ve been working on. The industrial estate has been here for a long time, and you can see that in the buildings. Our unit is no different; it’s a bit weathered but it serves its purpose perfectly. We’ve got a small team, and we all know our roles. There isn’t much hierarchy here; we just talk across the room when something needs doing. The sounds of the estate are our background music—the hum of machines and the occasional truck backing up. Sometimes the power cuts out and we have to wait a bit, but we always get back to the glass as soon as we can. It’s not a glamorous life, but there is a lot of satisfaction in finishing a piece. We keep things plain and honest at number 14, just focusing on the work at hand and making sure everything is handled correctly.
