Surwanshi Bal Hospital

This hospital is located right on Pokhari Road in Ambajogai, near the main Kalawati Hospital. It’s a place specifically for kids, so as you can imagine, it is rarely quiet. There is almost always a child crying or someone running down the hallway. We have tried to make the walls look a bit more cheerful with some stickers, but they are peeling at the edges now. The benches in the waiting area are usually full of tired parents holding their little ones. It gets a bit cramped when the afternoon rush starts. Ambajogai can be a busy place and being on the main road means we hear every truck that goes by. Our staff is used to the noise though. We spend a lot of time washing our hands and cleaning up spills. The doctors are usually rushing from one room to another with stethoscopes around their necks. We don’t have a fancy coffee machine, just a kettle in the back room for when we get a five-minute break. The records are kept in big metal cabinets that creak when you open them. It isn’t a perfect system, but we know where everything is. People come from all over the Ambajogai area because they know where we are on Pokhari Road. It’s just a plain, honest place where we deal with fevers and checkups every single day of the week.
