Mahesh Tea House

Over here in Village Ghatnandur, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. Our shop, Mahesh Tea House, is right at Bhagat Singh Chowk, which is pretty much where everything happens in this part of Taluka Ambajogai. If you stand outside the door, you can see everyone going about their business. We’ve been part of this community for a long time. It’s mostly farmers and people from the village who stop by. We open up early because that’s when people are heading out to the fields or starting their chores. The chowk can get a bit crowded on market days, but mostly it’s just the usual crowd. We don’t have any fancy machines or anything. We just use the same pots we’ve always used. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but they’ve looked this way for years and nobody seems to mind. Mahesh is usually around, making sure the milk is fresh and the tea is strong enough. It’s a small space, but it’s ours. We talk about the weather, the crops, and whatever else is going on in the village. It isn't a place for anything formal. It’s just a tea house where you can sit for a bit and forget about work. We like being right here at the chowk where we can see the whole village pass by every single day.
