Our clinic, Hakes Speciality Homeopathic Clinic, is situated in the Reddy Complex. It’s on the road that goes from Sawarkar Chouk to Meenatai Thakare Chouk, right near Reddy Hospital in Ambajogai. This part of town is usually quite busy with people heading to and from the various shops and offices. The clinic itself is a small, quiet space compared to the noise outside. We deal mostly in homeopathy, so our shelves are lined with lots of little bottles and jars. It is a very specific kind of environment. People come to us when they want to try something different, and we spend a lot of time just listening to them talk about their health. The office is pretty simple. We have a desk for the consultations and a few chairs for people to sit while they wait. There isn't a lot of fancy equipment around, just the usual tools of the trade. We have a small window that looks out onto the street, and sometimes it's nice to just watch the world go by during a slow patch. Ambajogai is a place where everyone seems to know everyone else, so we often end up chatting about local events with our patients. It is a steady job, and the clinic has a calm, slightly old-fashioned feel to it. We don't try to rush people through. We just take our time and do things the way we've always done them here. It's just a regular local clinic where we handle our work day by day without much fuss.
