Down here on Mandir Road, things can get pretty lively. We are located in Banaskantha, not too far from Panchal Bhavan. Jaipur Murti Museum isn't really a museum like the ones in big cities; it’s more of a place where we actually do our work. We’ve been in this same spot for a long time. The road gets really packed during the holidays because of the temple nearby. We see hundreds of people walking past our entrance every single day. It gets a bit dusty around here, especially when we are right in the middle of a project, but that’s just part of the deal. There isn't any fancy showroom with bright lights here. It’s just our workshop and the area where we store the finished pieces. Being near the temple feels right for the kind of work we do every day. Most of us have been doing this since we were young, learning the ways from the older folks who were here before us. It’s a slow process and you can’t really rush it. If you walk in, you’ll likely see us covered in dust or taking a quick break with a cup of tea. We are pretty laid back about things. We don't spend money on ads. People usually find us by word of mouth or just because they live nearby. It’s a quiet enough life for us. We just try to do honest work and keep the traditions alive without making a big fuss about it.
