We are based over at C/O Vegetable & Fruit Promotion Councilviii/2A1, right in the Amalapuram area of Ayyampuzha P O. It's mostly just a group of us who came together for the Ayyampuzha Mythri Farmer Producer Company Limited. It is a bit of a mouthful of a name, but it gets the point across. We spend our time working with the local growers around here. It’s not some big corporate building with glass windows; it’s more of a place where we can coordinate what needs to happen with the fruits and vegetables. We have been around for a while now, just trying to make things work for the local farmers. Some days the weather is good and we get a lot done, other days we are just sitting around waiting for the rain to stop so we can get back to the fields. We don't have any big mission statements or fancy goals like that. We just want to make sure the produce is handled right and the people involved get what they need. It’s a lot of manual work and checking on the crops. If you come by Amalapuram, you’ll see we are just a simple outfit. We have a few desks and a lot of crates. It’s a practical life, and we like it that way. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. Just farmers working together in Ayyampuzha. We hope to keep this going for a long time.
