Shree Cement Ltd.

Madan Kathat’s son handles the daily work here in the village of Junjharo Ka Badia. We belong to the Andheri Deori post in the Masuda tehsil. It is deep in the Ajmer district of Rajasthan. Out here, life moves at a different pace than the big cities. We handle the Shree Cement Ltd. supplies for the local villages and nearby farms. It is a lot of manual work. We don’t have fancy machines for everything. Mostly it is just us moving bags from the trucks to the storage and then onto the tractors or small carts that people bring by. It’s dusty work, and the Rajasthan sun doesn't make it any easier during the day. But people here are building constantly. Whether it's a new cattle shed or a small house, they need cement. We stay here in the village and everyone knows where to find us. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know the family and they know we have the stock. It is an honest way to make a living in the district. We’ve been in Junjharo Ka Badia for a long time. It is our home and our workplace. No big corporate talk here, just bags of cement and long days in the sun. We know every stone in this village.
